Short answer
Where to find it and where to use it
Our map marks the locked door on the north-east corner of the Space Travel Museum, the multi-storey block wedged between the Parking Garage and the Galleria. Those two are the landmarks worth memorising, because the museum itself is easy to mistake for the surrounding office blocks from street level. If you can see either the Parking Garage or the Galleria, you are one block from the door this card is for.
The card itself is a random container drop, so be honest with yourself about what the marker means: it is where the card's business is, not a shelf that always has one on it. Cards come out of the ordinary searchable furniture, cabinets, drawers, desks, lockers, and backpacks, and off any Raider you kill who was already carrying one.
Guides that have farmed it report the card turning up in residential-style containers across more than one map. On Buried City that means the Grandioso Apartments and the cluster of houses east of the Abandoned Highway Camp. On Dam Battlegrounds, the reported hotspots are Pale Apartments, Ruby Residence, and the Pattern House. None of these are guaranteed. They are just where the sample size is biggest.
The good news for routing is that the museum block sits in a green loot zone, which is the calmest tier on the map. It is nothing like walking into the Hospital or Town Hall. Come in off the nearest Raider Hatch or a metro entrance, work the Parking Garage on the way past because it is free container density, then cross into the museum.
What it unlocks
One door, on the fourth floor of the Space Travel building. The game files call the company J Kozma Ventures, which is where the JKV on the card comes from, so the museum, the Space Travel building, and JKV are all the same structure.
Take the stairwell all the way to the fourth floor and step out into the hallway. The locked door is on the north side of the floor, partway down the corridor on your right. Two independent sources agree on the fourth floor, and the door is unmistakable once you are on the right landing: it is the only one on the level asking you for a card.
Count your stairwell flights on the way up. Overshooting to the roof and coming back down is how most people waste 30 seconds they did not have.
What is inside
It is an office and server space rather than a vault, and the container list is consistent across the runs that have been documented:
- Several cabinets and drawers along the walls, the bulk of the room's search points
- A backpack sitting on top of the cabinets and server racks, easy to walk straight past because it is above eye line, so look up
- A weapon crate in the corner, the single best roll in the room
Reported pulls include Epic-tier weapons such as the Tempest, the Bobcat, and the Vulcano. Treat those as examples of what the crate can roll, not a loot table. Arc Raiders randomises these rooms every raid, and no published source has a fixed contents list for this one.
Is it worth the detour
Yes, if you are already anywhere in the museum, Parking Garage, or Galleria triangle. The room is small, it clears in well under a minute once you are inside, and the green loot zone around it means you are far less likely to walk into a squad than you would be doing the same thing at the Hospital.
The cost is the stairwell. Four floors up and four floors back down is real exposure in a building with limited exits, and a squad that hears you on the stairs has an easy time boxing you in. If you are running solo with a full bag already, extract instead.
The other honest maths: an Uncommon key sells for around 100 Coins at the vendor. That is nothing. A weapon crate roll is worth several thousand. Never sell this card, use it.
How keys work in Arc Raiders
Keys in Arc Raiders are consumables, not tools. Four rules cover everything you need to know before you carry one into a raid.
- Every key is single use. It is consumed the moment the door opens. One key equals one room, so a second run at the same door means a second key.
- Keys are lost on death. If a Raider drops you on the way there, the key is on your body with the rest of your bag. The only way it survives a death is in your Safe Pocket.
- Locked rooms reset between raids. The room refills every raid, so it never goes stale. Stack keys and run the same door over and over.
- Keys come out of containers and off players. Cabinets, drawers, desks, and lockers are the sources, along with anyone you kill who was carrying one. There is no guaranteed spawn shelf, so the honest advice is to loot every drawer on the way past.

Frequently asked questions
- Where is the JKV Employee Access Card in Arc Raiders?
- It is marked on Buried City at the north-east corner of the Space Travel Museum, in the block between the Parking Garage and the Galleria. The card is an Uncommon random container drop, so no single shelf is guaranteed to hold one.
- What door does the JKV Employee Access Card open?
- One locked door on the fourth floor of the Space Travel building, also known as the J Kozma Ventures building. Take the stairwell to floor four and the door is on the north side of the corridor, partway down on your right.
- Is the JKV Employee Access Card single use?
- Yes. It is consumed the moment the door opens, so one card equals one run of the room. The room itself resets between raids, so a second card gets you a second run.
- What loot is behind the JKV door?
- Several cabinets and drawers, a backpack on top of the server racks that is easy to miss, and a weapon crate in the corner. Players have pulled Epic weapons such as the Tempest and the Vulcano, but the contents are randomised every raid.
- Should I sell the JKV Employee Access Card instead?
- No. It sells for around 100 Coins, and a single weapon crate roll behind the door is worth many times that. Put it in your Safe Pocket and use it.
