Blue Gate Village Key Location in Arc Raiders
Blue Gate Village Key location in Arc Raiders: the four room barred door building in the Village, where the key drops, and the loot inside this uncommon key.

Short answer
Where to find it and where to use it
This one drops from residential containers, and because it is only uncommon it turns up far more often than the two rare Blue Gate keys. Search drawers, cabinets and suitcases in housing areas. It also drops off players.
Reported spawn areas, cross checked across guides:
- Blue Gate: the abandoned houses inside the Village itself. This is the convenient option, because the door you want is right there.
- Dam Battlegrounds: Pale Apartments, Ruby Residence and Pattern House.
- Buried City: Grandioso Apartments, and the houses east of the Abandoned Highway Camp.
The pattern behind all of those is the same: residential interiors with a lot of small furniture. Industrial and warehouse containers are the wrong place to look.

What it unlocks
The in-game description reads "A key to areas within Blue Gate Village," and the plural is doing real work there. This is not a closet.
The building sits in the middle of the Village, in the north-west section of the map, and it is one of the largest structures in that cluster. The landmark to look for is the front door: it is barred, unlike every other doorway in the Village, and that is the fastest way to confirm you are at the right house. Our map outlines the room in gold, and the in-game map marks it with a lock icon.
Once you are through, the interior opens into four separate rooms worth clearing. It is worth actually clearing all four. The temptation is to grab the obvious container in the first room and leave, and that is where most of the value gets left behind.
What is inside
Residential containers, in volume. The reported layout:
- A gun case in the first room
- A high chance of a Raider backpack, a weapon case and an ammo box spawning across the building
- Cabinets and drawers throughout the middle rooms
- A back room stacked with multiple wooden drawers
Because everything rolls randomly, results swing hard. One guide documented a single run pulling over 50,000 coins of value: rare battle rifles and LMGs, gun and modification blueprints, an epic trinket (a Breathtaking Snow Globe worth roughly 7,000 coins on its own), epic topside materials and a pile of recyclables. That is a good roll, not a typical one, but it shows the ceiling.
The floor is still fine. Four rooms of residential furniture will always give you crafting components and consumables even on a bad roll, which is more than a cellar can promise.
Is it worth the detour
Yes, and it is the one Blue Gate key we would actually route around.
The maths is simple. You are spending an uncommon key, the most common of the three mapped Blue Gate keys, and getting four rooms of loot for it. The Communication Tower room costs a rare key for one room. The cellars cost a rare key for one small room. On value per rarity, the Village building is not close.
The cost is exposure. The building sits in open ground in the centre of the Village, which is one of the busiest areas on the map, and you are inside it for a while because there are four rooms to clear. That is a long time to be predictable in a place other squads are already heading toward. Bring a teammate to watch the door if you have one, and clear the rooms in order rather than wandering back and forth.
Route wise, the Village is north-west, so Northern Gate Extract is the natural exit. If you land north with a Village Key already in your Safe Pocket, this is the first stop of the raid, not the last.
How keys work in Arc Raiders
Four rules cover every key in the game:
- Single use. The key is consumed the moment the door opens. One key, one building, one raid.
- Lost on death. Go down carrying it and it goes with you. Move it to your Safe Pocket the second you find it.
- Rooms reset between raids. The loot rebuilds every raid, so the same building is worth opening again next run with a fresh key.
- Keys drop from containers and from players. Cabinets, drawers, desks and lockers are the source, and anyone you kill may already be carrying one.
Because this key is uncommon, you will find spares. There is no reason to vendor one for 100 coins when the door pays multiples of that, so bank the key and open the building next time you spawn north.
Other keys on The Blue Gate
- Blue Gate Cellar Key: rare, opens cellar doors at Trapper's Glade and the Ruined Homestead.
- Blue Gate Communication Tower Key: rare, opens the room under the tower at Pilgrim's Peak in the north-east.
- Blue Gate Confiscation Room Key: epic, opens the confiscated goods area inside the Blue Gate tunnels. It is a real key and players do find it, but it is not marked on the community map we build from, so we have not published a location for it.
- All Arc Raiders key locations: every key we have mapped, across every map.
- The Blue Gate interactive map: POIs, extractions and marked key rooms in one view.
Frequently asked questions
- Where do you use the Blue Gate Village Key?
- On a large building in the middle of the Village, in the north-west of The Blue Gate. The tell is the front door: it is barred, unlike every other doorway in the Village. Our map outlines the room in gold and the in-game map marks it with a lock icon.
- Where does the Blue Gate Village Key drop?
- From residential containers, so search drawers, cabinets and suitcases in housing areas. Reported spots include the abandoned houses in the Village itself, Pale Apartments, Ruby Residence and Pattern House on Dam Battlegrounds, and Grandioso Apartments plus the houses east of the Abandoned Highway Camp in Buried City.
- What is inside the Blue Gate Village key building?
- Four separate rooms of residential containers: a gun case in the first room, a strong chance of a Raider backpack, weapon case and ammo box, cabinets and drawers through the middle rooms, and a back room stacked with wooden drawers. One documented run pulled over 50,000 coins of value.
- Is the Blue Gate Village Key worth using?
- Yes, and it is the one Blue Gate key worth routing around. It is only uncommon rarity and it opens four rooms, where both rare Blue Gate keys open a single room each. The cost is exposure, since the building sits in open ground in a busy part of the map and clearing it takes time.
- Can you reuse the Blue Gate Village Key?
- No. It is consumed the moment the door opens, and it is lost on death unless you store it in your Safe Pocket. The building resets between raids, so bank any spare Village Keys and open it again on your next northern spawn.
