Advanced Movement Techniques in Arc Raiders

Arc Raiders movement from the wiki: moving, Dodge Rolls and vaulting cost stamina, and its skills change how you sprint, slide, climb, vault and roll.

What Movement Costs

Per the wiki's Skills page, revised after Frozen Trail 2.0 overhauled the skill tree, moving around, Dodge Rolls and vaulting all cost stamina: Marathon Runner makes moving around cost less, Effortless Roll makes Dodge Rolls cost less, and Vaults On Vaults On Vaults makes vaulting cost none. Youthful Lungs, the Mobility branch's first node, increases your max stamina, and Fight Or Flight regains a fixed amount of it when you are hurt in combat, with a cooldown between uses. The wiki's Getting Started page, which says some of its tips come from its editors' experience rather than official sources, adds that stamina regenerates faster when standing still or crouching. An Adrenaline Shot, by its own text, fully restores stamina.

Sprinting

Swift Start increases the duration of the high speed at the start of a sprint, and Sure-Footed Scrambler, while sprinting, increases the time you can scramble up steep slopes. Sprinting On Fumes, Wall Run and In The Flow are the options at the Mobility branch's second large node, where the Skills page says you can take up to two of the three. By their text, Sprinting On Fumes means stamina never fully drains while sprinting until any action or damage cancels it, Wall Run lets you run a few steps up a wall you sprint at, and In The Flow increases the speed and reduces the stamina cost when you chain mobility moves while sprinting.

Dodge Rolls

The wiki's Dodge Roll page says a Dodge Roll lets you evade attacks from ARC, roll behind cover and make yourself harder to hit. Its speed depends on your movement speed, so being out of or low on stamina can drastically slow it. On the Skills page, Quick Roll, an option at the Survival branch's first large node, is a faster Dodge Roll at reduced stamina cost that covers a shorter distance.

Slides, Climbs and Vaults

Slip And Slide lets you slide further and faster, Nimble Climber lets you climb and vault more quickly, and Off The Wall lets you Wall Leap further. The Skills page notes that vaulting is usually slower while exhausted, which Vigorous Vaulter removes, and Vault 'N' Carry lets you vault while holding a carryable. Vault Spring, which lets you jump at the end of a vault, and Vaults On Vaults On Vaults are the two options at the Mobility branch's first large node, and you take one of them.

Crouching, Falls and Landings

Agile Croucher increases your movement speed when crouched. Ready To Roll widens your timing window to perform a Recovery Roll when falling, and Stylish Landing lets you use the Recovery Roll from higher up. Right Back At It reduces the time to get back up after a heavy landing, and Sturdy Ankles cuts the fall damage you take from a non-lethal height.

Movement and Weight

Per the wiki's Loadout page, your loadout and your loot share your augment's weight limit, and going over it dramatically reduces your stamina. By their item text, a Light Shield blocks damage without impacting mobility, while a Medium Shield costs a moderate amount of mobility and a Heavy Shield a significant amount. On the Skills page, Used To The Weight means wearing a shield doesn't slow you down as much, Mule's Gallop lets you sprint while over-encumbered, and Speedy Mule reduces the speed penalty when severely over-encumbered. The skill tree page lists every skill of the tree since Frozen Trail 2.0, by branch and large node.
