Best Solo Loadout for Dam Battlegrounds

Dam Battlegrounds is a common pick for quick solo raids. Here is the optimized loadout for maximizing loot while minimizing risk.

The Efficient Farmer Loadout

Weapon: Venator (or Ferro if budget is tight)

Sidearm: Hairpin (optional, saves ammo on Ticks)

Shield: Medium Shield (or Light Shield if budget)

Gadget: Smoke Grenade

Healing: Bandage x3, Herbal Bandage x1

Total loadout cost is moderate. If you die, you lose gear that a few successful Dam runs will replace. This is an acceptable risk/reward ratio.

Why This Loadout Works

The Venator handles every encounter on Dam Battlegrounds. Ticks die quickly. Other Raiders respect the Venator's damage. You do not need a shotgun or sniper for this map because engagement distances are predictable.

Smoke Grenades are your emergency exit. If a squad rolls up or a Shredder surprises you, pop smoke and sprint to the nearest extraction (Hatch markers need a Raider Hatch Key). Living to extract with half a backpack of loot is better than dying with a full one.

Loot Priority on Dam

Fill your backpack in this order: ARC Alloy > Steel Springs > Chemicals > Metal Parts > Plastic Parts > Fabric. Drop any common weapons you find after recycling them mentally (you will recycle them back in Speranza).

Avoid picking up heavy items like the Il Toro unless they are rare or above. Weight management is critical for solo players.

Route for This Loadout

Open with a lower risk stop such as the Testing Annex or Pale Apartments. Then take the Control Tower. With a Dam Surveillance Key, detour to its room in the Water Treatment Control building. Extract at a marked extraction on your route, and check its approach before you call it. Hatch markers need a Raider Hatch Key.

When to Abort

Extract early if: You hear sustained gunfire nearby (squad fight in progress), a Shredder turns up close to you, or you take significant damage early and burn your Herbal Bandage. Do not push your luck on a budget map. There is always another Dam run.

Upgrade Path

Once you are comfortable with this loadout, start bringing Gas Mines instead of Smoke Grenades for aggressive play. Plant mines at the entrance of the building you are looting. Any Raider who pushes you gets a nasty surprise.
