Dam Battlegrounds is the most popular map for quick solo raids. Here is the optimized loadout for maximizing loot while minimizing risk.

The Efficient Farmer Loadout

Weapon: Venator (or Ferro if budget is tight)

Sidearm: Hairpin (optional, saves ammo on Ticks)

Helmet: Reinforced Helmet (or Basic if budget)

Vest: Reinforced Vest (or Basic if budget)

Backpack: Tactical Backpack (always bring one)

Gadget 1: Firecracker

Gadget 2: Smoke Grenade

Healing: Bandage x3, Basic Medkit x1

Total loadout cost is moderate. If you die, you lose gear worth approximately 2 to 3 successful Dam runs. This is an acceptable risk/reward ratio.

Why This Loadout Works

The Venator handles every encounter on Dam Battlegrounds. Ticks die in 2 to 3 shots. Harvesters take a magazine. Other Raiders respect the Venator's damage. You do not need a shotgun or sniper for this map because engagement distances are predictable.

The Firecracker is your insurance policy. Drop it at the entrance of whatever building you are looting. It pings any Raider or ARC machine approaching within its radius. This single gadget prevents more deaths than any armor piece.

Smoke Grenades are your emergency exit. If a squad rolls up or a Shredder surprises you, pop smoke and sprint to the nearest extraction. Living to extract with half a backpack of loot is better than dying with a full one.

Loot Priority on Dam

Fill your backpack in this order: ARC Alloy (if you find any in the dam interior) > Circuitry > Springs > Chemicals > Metal Parts > Plastic Parts > Screws and Bolts > Fabric. Drop any common weapons you find after recycling them mentally (you will recycle them back in Speranza).

Avoid picking up heavy items like the Il Toro (3.0kg) or Scudo Shield (4.0kg) unless they are rare or above. Weight management is critical for solo players.

Route for This Loadout

Spawn south. Move to the eastern maintenance entrance. Deploy Firecracker at the door. Loot the maintenance office (2 minutes). Push into the dam corridor toward the generator room (3 minutes). Loot the generator room (2 minutes). Exit west and loot the construction yard (3 minutes). Extract at North Ridgeline (2 to 3 minutes walk).

Total run time: 12 to 15 minutes. Expected yield: 15 to 25 material stacks plus any weapon/armor drops.

When to Abort

Extract early if: You hear sustained gunfire near the dam interior (squad fight in progress), a Shredder spawns in the generator room, or you take significant damage early and burn your Medkit. Do not push your luck on a budget map. There is always another Dam run.

Upgrade Path

Once you are comfortable with this loadout, start bringing Gas Mines instead of Smoke Grenades for aggressive play. Plant mines at the generator room entrance while you loot. Any Raider who pushes you gets a nasty surprise. This turns the generator room from a contested zone into your personal loot vault.
